Dr. Steve Miles
DFL Party candidate for U.S. Senator

Steve Miles threw his support behind DFL endorsee Jerry Janezich on June 5, 2000 at a rally for Janezich on the Capitol steps. Miles ended his campaign after failing to win the DFL endorsement at its convention in Rochester.
 
THE 49-YEAR-OLD PHYSICIAN, who works at the University of Minnesota's Center for Bioethics, says he's dismayed by Senators who don't understand science issues such as global warming and nuclear waste disposal. Miles says his background as a scientist and health care expert would serve him well in the Senate.
